Kia ora, and welcome to the Waikato Environmental Geochemistry (WEG) Research Group web page.
Hi, I’m Adam, and welcome to my research group webpage and blog. I’m an Associate Professor in Geochemistry at the University of Waikato, New Zealand and lead the Waikato Environmental Geochemistry (WEG) group.
I was appointed at Waikato in 2012 after completing a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship in groundwater geochemistry at the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a PhD in colloidal geochemistry at the University of Birmingham, UK.
My work involves the analysis of environmental waters, soils, sediments and minerals, to address questions in both modern and ancient systems. I’m passionate about geochemistry and love to share my understanding and learn more through research, teaching and reflection. I’m doubly fortunate to be able to carry out research in New Zealand, with it’s diverse and dynamic landscapes.
I hope you enjoy reading about what we get up to here at Waikato. Ngā mihi, Adam
